WhatsApp has published shortcuts for using the messenger service on Windows PCs and Mac computers.
These should make it easier for users to chat.
Munich - "Mark as unread" "Archive chat" or "Mute notifications" - WhatsApp has now revealed key combinations for commands like these.
Last week, the company posted shortcuts
on
under the motto “Final Boss Mode: unlocked” that are supposed to help when using the messenger service on the computer.
If a message is to be marked as unread, this can be done very easily in the future with the key sequence Ctrl Alt Shift U in the Windows browser or with Cmd Ctrl Shift U in the Mac browser.
Or if someone wants to mute a chat group, all they have to do in the program is press the key combination Ctrl Shift and M on Windows, or Cmd Shift M on Mac.
Many WhatsApp functions can be used faster thanks to shortcuts
Chats can also be archived or new chats and groups started using the key sequences called “cheat codes” by WhatsApp.
Messages can also be fixed or released in this way.
The chats and group participants can be browsed using a combination of buttons, profiles can be opened and the settings can be viewed.
Big downer: Depending on whether WhatsApp is used with Microsoft Windows or Apple products and there as a program or in the Internet browser, a different key combination is required in each case.
Hence four different lists of these “cheat codes” on Twitter.
And every user can quickly get confused, especially when he is active on different devices during the day.

WhatsApp has not yet revealed whether further keyboard shortcuts are in the works.
But regardless of whether WhatsApp on the smartphone or WhatsApp on the computer, whether privately or at work, these tricks could make writing easier for many.
WhatsApp keeps bringing out changes to the app.
