Small button, big impact: by trying a mysterious button on Tom Cruise's mantelpiece, US actress Kyra Sedgwick (“Phenomenon”) arranged for a police operation at a dinner party a few years ago.
With other stars like Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, the 55-year-old tells it on the "Drew Barrymore Show", Sedgwick and her husband Kevin Bacon were invited to Cruise in the early 1990s.
"There was that mantelpiece and I was looking around and there was that little button," she confessed.
You asked yourself what it was for.
"That's why I pressed the little button because I thought something interesting might happen." When nothing happened, she became nervous.
When she asked, Cruise later told her that it was the emergency button.
