The court of Siena has ordered the postponement to April 22 for the Ruby ter trial that sees Silvio Berlusconi under investigation for corruption.
The judges accepted the request of the former prime minister's defense.
The defense asked for the postponement for legitimate impediment of the former premier, because he was hospitalized.
Already last week the hearing had been postponed again due to the conditions of the Forza Italia leader.
Berlusconi in Siena is accused of corruption in judicial acts of Danilo Mariani, the Sienese pianist of the evenings in Arcore.
The latter, a co-accused, is accused of perjury.
The court instead rejected the request of the prosecutor who also asked for medical checks to understand the timing of the impediment of Silvio Berlusconi to participate in the trial. According to what was explained by Berlusconi's defense, the judges considered the medical documentation filed today by the former prime minister's lawyers to be sufficient. These are documents signed by Alberto Zangrillo and Lorenzo Dagna of San Raffaele, and by Andrea Gentilomo, director of forensic medicine at the University of Milan in which at least 2 months of impediment are indicated.
