All the winners of the World Press Photo, the most important photojournalism award in the world, have been announced.
The photo of the year was taken by the Danish Mads Nissen in Sao Paulo: it portrays an elderly Brazilian Covid patient, Rosa Luzia Lunardi, 85, who receives the first hug in five months from a nurse, Adriana Silva da Costa Souza, through a 'tent of hugs', in a nursing home.
A 'symbol of hope', according to the jury.
