The Nahal Band is the most beloved military ensemble in Israel, according to data released today (Thursday) on the "Spotify" streaming platform, in honor of the 73rd Independence Day of the State of Israel. Spotify in Israel in March 2018 to date, according to the data, out of the 50 most played military bands' songs, almost half of them belong to the Nahal band, including the song that is in first place in the playlist - "Song for Peace".

It is followed by the Central Command Band and the Navy Band, each with eight songs on the list.

Next is the Northern Command Band (six songs) and the Southern Command and Air Force bands, with three songs each.

The Armored Corps has only one song on the list. 

So what are the songs of the favorite military bands of Israelis?

Second on the list was the song "The Guardian of the Walls," written by Dan Almagor and originally performed by the Central Command crew in 1977.

The third place went to "The Song of Evil" by the Nahal band, written by Haim Guri and composed by Sasha Argov and is one of the most iconic and recognizable songs with the War of Independence. "The Man from the Jordan Valley" sung by the Central Command Band, which was written in 1971 by Haim Hefer at the request of the then Alef Central Command, Rehavam Zeevi ("Gandhi").

Also on the list in descending order: "I had a friend, I had a brother" by the Air Force band, "By the Nahal in Sinai" by the Nahal band, "Ammunition Hill" (Central Command) which surprisingly occupied only the eighth place in the top ten, and "Always Tunes" by the Air Force Band.

The first ten songs are signed by "I was a boy" by the Nahal band. 

Other favorite songs that did not make the top ten but definitely get many listens are: "All your wonders are not over yet", "Queen of Mount Hermon", "North in love", "Get up and walk in the country", "I have a favorite in the carob patrol", "Tomorrow" And "Haska."
