2021-04-18T17:21:12.561Z

SURVEY - While no reopening date has yet been set, the number of feature films planned has never been greater in France. American blockbusters risk eclipsing a bloated French production.

Close to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the display is spectacular. On the facades of the UGC, the film posters have been replaced by photos of the neighborhood traders. When will the cinema be displayed again? In June? After the meeting, Thursday, April 15 at the Elysee Palace, between the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and his ministers, the government spokesman, Gabriel Attal, was evasive.

“Some cultural places will open in mid-May, other reopening will be done gradually, distinguishing between exterior and interior spaces, those where one circulates or not.”

However, for Marc-Olivier Sebbag, general delegate of the National Federation of French Cinemas (FNCF),

“The cinemas will be part of stage 1 of the reopening, especially cultural venues, that's what Matignon has assured us.

The important thing is not the exact date of May 15 or 30, but to be ready as soon as the top is given. "
