After “The Mandalorian”, Disney + is planning many more “Star Wars” series.
One of them could go completely new ways.
With the new "Star Wars" trilogy, Disney has polarized very strongly.
The story of Rey, Kylo Ren and Co. has caused a lot of discussion.
On the other hand, Disney hit the bull's eye with “The Mandalorian”, as the series is very well received by most viewers.
Reason enough that several new productions have been ordered for Disney +, including the Obi-Wan series *, in which Ewan McGregor can be seen again in the role.
But apparently the streaming service could still dare one or the other experiment.
One of the planned series is said to be a "Star Wars" parody.
"Star Wars: Detours": Is Disney digging up the old George Lucas project?
Some die-hard Star Wars fans will know that George Lucas was working on another project about ten years ago. This was entitled "
Star Wars
:
Detours
" and was an animation series that was
conceived
as a
parody
- "Star Wars" went astray, so to speak, hence the title. Lucas worked with Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, the two creators of the animation series "
Robot Chicken
", which also parodied "Star Wars". Although dozens of episodes were completed, "Detours" disappeared in the moth box after Lucasfilm was bought by Disney in 2012.
According to a recent report by
The Vulcan Reporter
, Disney could bring the series out again.
Allegedly it should start in a few weeks on Disney + -
on the occasion of "Star Wars Day"
on 4
.
May
.
In addition to the 39 episodes originally produced, more are said to have only recently been completed.
So there would be
a total of 52 episodes
Disney + could publish straight away.
For “Star Wars” fans, “Detours” would be ideally suited to bridge the waiting time for the other series and season 3 of “The Mandalorian”.
