Actor Emilio Sakraya: main role as rapper Xatar

Many flirt with the label of the gangster rapper, but Giwar Hajabi, born in Iran in 1981 and of Kurdish descent, is really a tough boy: in 2009 the rapper, who became known under the stage name Xatar, was involved in a robbery on a gold transport and went to prison.
He then made a career as a rapper and built up various music companies for which he took young artists under contract.
He is considered to be one of the most powerful and colorful figures on the German rap scene.

In the summer, the shooting of "Rheingold" should begin, the film with which the director Faith Akin ("Against the Wall") wants to dedicate himself to the life and career of Xatar.
Meanwhile, it is also clear who will embody the rap mogul: Emilio Sakraya.
The 22-year-old was playing one of the leading roles as Kiano in the Netflix series "Tribes of Europa" and is also a musician himself. His debut album "Roter Sand" was released last year.
As early as 2010 he played his first film role in Bernd Eichinger's film "Times Change You" about the gangster rapper Bushido, most recently the Berliner also appeared in front of the camera as Issam in the series "Four Blocks".
He will also play one of the leading roles in Til Schweiger's new film "The Rescue of the World We Know".
"Emilio convinced me with his skills," said Fatih Akin in a press release.

The rapper is also enthusiastic about the choice of the main actor: »It's an honor that Emilio will play my role!
It is currently the most up-and-coming German drama export at all, ”the message said.
Sakraya himself says he has been preparing for the role for weeks and will try to do his best.
According to Xatar, he and the young actor have already spent a lot of time together.
It is not yet known when »Rheingold« will be released in cinemas.
