Attention remains high on the Po river, whose flow is still below 30% compared to the seasonal average: while rains are expected, the expected rise in temperatures is worrying, not reassuring. This is what emerged from the first meeting of the Permanent Observatory on water uses of the Po River District Authority (AdbPo) which keeps a high guard on the driest sub-basins of the great river: Val Trebbia (Piacenza), Boretto area (Reggio Emilia) - where the drainage system is silted - and some areas of the Bolognese. Compared to March, the authority explains, the month of April has already recorded rainfall capable of partially improving the general context of the district, among "the driest recorded at the beginning of the spring season",so much so that for the crops the emergency irrigation was brought forward to March 1st. More rains are expected and these may contribute to raising hydrometric levels. However, the simultaneous increase in temperatures could nullify this contribution due to the possible evotranspiration in the soils. The summary of the observatory is that at the moment, overall, the criticality of the district is low, but the monitoring will be constant. The next two points on the situation will be made on 11 May and 11 June.observatory is that at the moment, overall, the criticality of the district is low, but monitoring will be constant.
