The Minister of Health responded to the words of the blue-and-white chairman, who claimed that he had saved billions for the country.
Health Minister Yuli Edelstein today (Tuesday) attacked Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, saying during a press conference he held with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Gantz was trying to torpedo the purchase of vaccines for Corona.

"The staff of the Ministry of Health with the help of other government ministries worked day and night to reach the agreements," Edelstein said.
"When we celebrated Independence Day night, the crews sat, they worked and drafted the agreements. The results speak for themselves. But what obscures the joy is some briefings I saw today of those who irresponsibly tried to torpedo. Not only are we not ashamed and not saying 'we were wrong'. Now there are other allegations that in their behavior they saved something and prevented waste. "
He said, "Regarding the purchase of vaccines, there is no and there was no waste. The last month covered everything we purchased and what else we would like to purchase. So many months ago my instruction was not to put all the eggs in one basket. We did so. "The vaccination campaign continues. It's not too late. Come. There are vaccines. The country will only continue to prosper if we are vaccinated against Corona."
Edelstein's remarks came in response to a statement issued by the Gantz bureau, which stated that thanks to his insistence, billions were saved, vaccines were purchased and the deficit was not increased promiscuously.
"Netanyahu and all his accomplices continue to prove that the most important thing is his trial, and for him he was willing to sacrifice human lives according to his method as well," it was written.
In his statement on the conclusion of the purchase of additional vaccines against Corona from Pfizer and Moderna, Prime Minister Netanyahu said:
There can always be a surprise by a new variant, Indian or otherwise.
"The departure from the corona to this day and our avoidance of the corona later on is guaranteed as long as there is no such surprise."
"One way to prevent these surprises is to go back and tighten our outer shell," he added.
