The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), which represents the Gamaleya laboratory, which developed the Sputnik V vaccine, announced Tuesday that "large-scale production of Sputnik V in Argentina is scheduled to
begin in June
."
At the same time, the Richmond laboratory, which will be in charge of local production, reported that it is in the final stage of preparing the
first batches of the formula in Argentina
.
It did so through a statement to the National Securities Commission, in which it indicated that the doses will be sent to the Gamaleya institute for evaluation, while parallel tests are being carried out in Argentine laboratories.
"Our country is the first in Latin America to begin the process of technology transfer of the Sputnik V vaccine, all of which was possible thanks to the collaboration of RIDF and its strategic partners," the note highlights.
