(ANSA) - SYDNEY, APRIL 21 - Australia has canceled the agreement with China on the so-called 'Belt and Road', the new Silk Road.
Australia has announced that it will revoke the agreement reached by the state of Victoria on the Chinese Silk Road project, saying it is incompatible with the country's foreign policy.
Foreign Minister Marise Payne used her powers to overturn the 2018 agreement between the state government and Beijing, arguing that it is "incompatible with Australian foreign policy and contrary to our foreign relations".
