(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 21 - Construction production exceeds the pre-Covid level. In February 2021, Istat recorded "the second consecutive month of economic growth due to the seasonally adjusted index of construction production" which rose by 1.4% compared to January. On a trend basis, the crude index increases by 2.4% and the calendar-corrected index by 3.5%, after two months of declines. "The production levels - observes Istat - net of seasonality, are higher than in February 2020, the month before the start of generalized measures to combat the health emergency".
On the average of the first two months of 2021, the raw index fell by 2.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, while theindex corrected for calendar effects growing by 1.5%. (HANDLE).
