Floyd: conviction for murder, guilty for all charges

The trial for George Floyd's death in Minneapolis ended with a conviction for the murder of former police officer Derek Chauvin. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, APR 20 - The trial for the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis ended with a conviction for the murder of former police officer Derek Chauvin.


   Chauvin was found guilty by the jury on all three counts: manslaughter, second-degree murder and third-degree murder.


    Chauvin left the courtroom in handcuffs and remained in the custody of the authorities.


    The crowd in Minneapolis awaiting the verdict of the Floyd trial welcomed the sentencing for all three counts with enthusiasm, applause and chants. Similar scenes in many other American cities. (HANDLE).
