According to her own admission, surfer Janni Hönscheid was afraid of flying after her flight break in the corona crisis.
“Not flying for a whole year did something to me,” writes the 30-year-old on Instagram.
When she got back on the plane for the first time, it was difficult for her to put her family's life in the hands of a pilot - "whom I didn't know," said Hönscheid.
It was only when the machine got into turbulence that her husband, the presenter and ex-jungle king Peer Kusmagk, noticed how concerned she was.
"I used to fly at least every three weeks," writes the former German surfing champion.
However, the cuts in everyday life caused by the corona pandemic have shaken your "trust in life and in us humans" in the past few months.
"I have to learn to trust others again unconditionally and without a doubt."
Hönscheid and Kusmagk, who met in 2016 on the RTL show "Adam sucht Eva", have two children together.
