The Tokyo Stock Exchange opens the last session of the week down, following the reaction of the US stock markets on the expectations of an increase in the rates on capital gains in the US. The Nikkei records a decline of 0.85% to 28.939. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - TOKYO, APRIL 23 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange opens the last session of the week in decline, following the reaction of US stock markets on expectations of an increase in the rates on capital gains in the US. The Nikkei recorded a drop of 0.85% to 28,939.12, with a loss of 249 points, as the capital prepares for a new state of emergency, the third since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.


   On the exchange rate front, the yen strengthened against the dollar at 107.90, and against the euro at 129.60. (HANDLE).
