That is why the tour operator is introducing a flat-rate service charge in its travel agencies.
Starting May 17th, customers will have to pay a fee for each final trip they book.
Tui justifies the service flat rate with an increasing effort in the consultation.
According to the tour operator, the added value through advice and service when selling trips is significantly greater today than in previous years.
TUI with service fee: standard and premium package - fees from 15 euros
According to Tui, the amount of the service fee is based on the travel price and scope of services. There should be several service packages. The standard package includes, among other things, offers and service comparisons in the booking systems, information on entry requirements and registrations of seat reservations for the flight. The service flat rate is then 15 euros for employees at a travel price of up to 499 euros. From a price of 500 euros, 29 euros are due.
In addition to the standard package, Tui also wants to offer a premium package.
This also includes other services, such as registering additional baggage or online check-in for the outbound flight.
In this package, extra requests are clarified directly with the airline or the hotel.
The service fee is also charged according to the travel price.
Up to 499 euros are 25 euros, for prices over 500 euros 39 euros.
The new flat rate is to be raised in the more than 400 Tui travel agencies.
TUI franchise partners and independent agencies can decide for themselves whether to introduce the service fee.

Tui follows suit: DER also requires a service fee
Tui is not the first tour operator to introduce a service package in its travel agencies.
DER travel agency was the first chain to introduce a nationwide service fee in November 2020.
DER-Touristik also argued this step with a significantly increased consulting effort.
According to the tour operator, this is the result of increasingly complex travel regulations and the increasingly frequent use of time-consuming services.
The DER service flat rate is also available in two versions.
The fee is also charged according to the amount of the travel price and the scope of services.
The basic package costs between 15 and 30 euros.
In the plus version, the amount to be paid is between 34 and 49 euros.
But Corona slows many consumers' desire for vacation.
