(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 25 - The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, on the occasion of the Liberation Day, sent a video message, broadcast on his social pages, to all Milanese speaking from the terraces of the Duomo.

In his words, Sala compared reconstruction after the war to that which the city will have to face after the Covid pandemic, "to which we are all called to work".

"76 years have passed since that historic day and the pride and gratitude that we bring to the Italians who were capable of that undertaking are not less. After some time something of that moment is current, it is the emergency due to the pandemic".
