The film is the story of an octogenarian (Anthony Hopkins) suffering from Alzheimer's disease and losing, with memory, the bonds that unite him to his daughter (Olivia Colman) and to the world. A film adaptation of the eponymous play by Florian Zeller,
The Father
received a standing ovation last year at the Sundance Festival, before winning two Baftas in April: that of best adapted screenplay and that of best actor for Anthony Hopkins.
