Because of the Corona emergency brake, many shops have to close.
Which stores are still open?
And where else is Click and Meet allowed?
All information about shopping is available here.
The
federal corona emergency brake * has been in place
since Saturday (April 24th)
.
This stipulates nationwide which rules apply in rural districts and urban districts from the day after next, in which the
seven-day incidence is
over 100 on three consecutive days.
Infection Protection Act: Shops open if the incidence is below 100
In those rural districts and urban districts in which the
number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week is
again
stable below 100
, the nationwide emergency brake does not apply. “This means that shops are generally allowed to open,” describes the editorial network in Germany. "However, customers still have to wear medical mouth and nose protection and the shops are only allowed to let in a certain number of customers, depending on the sales area." In Bavaria, for example, the FFP2 mask requirement continues to apply in shops.
Basically, according to an article by “Brisant” on MDR.de, the Corona emergency brake should be understood as a “minimum requirement”.
If a federal state resolves stricter measures in its Corona Protection Ordinance, then these would apply.
In other words: under certain circumstances, stores would have to remain regionally closed even with an incidence below 100, according to the article.
The following applies across the country: If the nationwide emergency brake was already in force, a circle must fall below the seven-day incidence of 100 on five consecutive working days so that the shops can reopen the next day, RND.de describes.

Click and Meet at incidences between 100 and 150
With an
incidence between 100 and 150
within a city or district, shops are only allowed to
offer
Click & Meet
.
Customers must also present a
verified, negative corona test
that is
no older than 24 hours
.
However, as MDR.de reports in the article, a self-test carried out at home is not sufficient.
The Robert Koch Institute also describes the “requirements for the tests” on its homepage.
Click and Meet: This is how purchasing by appointment works
When shopping with an appointment, the stores register the addresses of customers for contact tracking.
As a customer, you can then shop in the shops within the booked time window.
“
You can only come alone or with members of the same household
- and above all only if you have no symptoms.
A maximum of one customer is admitted per 40 square meters of sales area, ”the article on MDR.de also says.
Even at the Click and Meet, customers would have to wear the medical masks and keep a distance of at least 1.50 meters.
Numerous, but by no means all, shops offer the option of purchasing by appointment.
Customers should therefore find out about the options on site in good time so as not to be disappointed.
If the incidence is over 150, only Click & Collect allowed
According to the reports, the nationwide emergency brake stipulates that districts and urban districts that exceed the threshold of 150 on three consecutive days are no longer allowed to offer appointment shopping on the day after next.
Then only the
Click and Collect service
, which many shops offer, is allowed.
This means that you can order the goods from the participating retailers via their homepage (Click and Collect) or by telephone (Call and Collect) and collect them from the store at a specific time by arrangement - regardless of how high the incidence is.

Which stores stay open if the incidence is over 100?
Everyday shops
such as
supermarkets,
drugstores and pharmacies will
remain open as before, regardless of the seven-day incidence.
In addition to grocery stores, according to RND.de - unless stricter rules apply in the individual federal states - the following stores are also allowed to open in compliance with the applicable rules:
Beverage markets
Health food stores
Baby stores
Pharmacies
Medical supply stores
Drugstores
optician
Hearing care professional
Gas stations
Places of newspaper sales
Bookstores
Florists
Pet stores
Feed markets
Garden centers
However, it is best for customers to find out how the local regulations are before they go shopping.
As reported by the German Press Agency (as of April 26), flower shops, bookstores, garden centers and nurseries in Bavaria, for example, which were previously allowed to open temporarily regardless of the incidence, are now closed, although the federal emergency brake provides for exceptions for them.
Here, however, the trade association is still hoping for a corresponding relaxation in the Free State.
