With Italy almost entirely "yellow", in these hours there is a thread of hope that binds Italian museums, while preparations are underway in view of the finally possible openings starting today:

from Rome to Milan, from Turin to Genoa , from Parma to Florence and Trento, Naples, Perugia, the places of culture are ready to reopen, "thawing" old exhibitions and setting up some new ones, always ensuring compliance with the virus containment measures

.

Alongside the enthusiasm, however, there remains the fear that this could turn out to be a "false start": if the epidemiological situation were to worsen again, the museum programming could stop again and would be the coup de grace in a context of full-blown crisis, after the forced closure for over a year and the museum coffers now empty. For this reason, the first critical voices have already arrived: such as that of the councilor for culture of the Municipality of Milan, Filippo Del Corno, who at least as regards cultural spaces hopes for "a new provision that includes non-reversible openings", or that of the director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin, Christian Greco, who asks colleagues from other cities to join in a collective action for the establishment by the MIC of "an ordinary funding fund, to be guaranteed with public and private resources to take care of the collections ".
