The fate of Alitalia and in particular of its employees does not seem to know moments of respite. The continuous summits between the government and the European Commission have not so far led to a result and although there has been the release of part of the refreshments requested, the company has warned that it will not pay the salaries of its workers tomorrow (who normally receive the envelopes pays on the 27th of each month). The extraordinary commissioners Gabriele Fava, Giuseppe Leogrande and Daniele Santosuosso, in an internal communication that ANSA was able to see, in fact informed the workers that "as usual we will proceed with the payment of April salaries as soon as the expected compensation is paid in support of the Covid-19 emergency ".Moreover, the government has intervened in recent days to save the salaries of Alitalia employees by allocating 50 million with the decree against the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the confrontation with Brussels continues. "We are in contact with the Italian authorities, but we have no comments on it" explains a spokeswoman for the EU executive, replying to those who asked her if the plan B on which the Italian government would be working for the take-off of Ita with about sixty planes leased from the old company is in line with EU regulations and with the recommendations made after the controversies made by Italy on a possible asymmetry of treatment for the tricolor carrier compared to the other protagonists of European air transport.

In the meantime, tomorrow an informal videoconference hearing of the President Francesco Caio and of the CEO, Fabio Lazzerini, of Italia Trasporti Aereo is expected in the Transport Committee in the Chamber, precisely on the preparation of the industrial plan of the company.
