(ANSA) - MOSCOW, APRIL 26 - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected today in the Chernobyl exclusion zone to remember the victims of the worst nuclear accident in history.

Thirty-five years ago, an explosion at Chernobyl's reactor number 4 shook the world, releasing tons of radioactive waste into the atmosphere.

Before Zelensky's arrival, dozens of people gathered in the abandoned city of Pripyat for a night vigil with candles in memory of those who lost their lives in the accident.
