(ANSA) - NEW YORK, APRIL 26 - Audience in peak for the AcademyAwards: yesterday's night of the stars recorded a less than 58% compared to last year's data.

According to the Nielsen surveys reported by Variety, 9.85 million spectators have tuned in to ABC for the direct of the awards, 13.75 million less than 2020. The flop of the night of the Oscars is in line with that of other awards, from the Grammys to the Golden Globes, aired in the year of the pandemic.

The Grammys in particular had lost 55% of viewers compared to last year's edition.
