After conducting PCR tests on all participants two weeks after the concert, "there is no sign that any transmission took place during the event, which was the goal of this study," said announced Josep Maria Llibre, doctor of the Germans Trias i Pujol hospital in Badalone, during a press conference.

Only six of the 4,592 participants would have tested positive for Covid-19, including four "infected elsewhere".

Organizers estimate that the test shows 5,000 people can be tested in one morning, adding that people have complied with the measures "wonderfully."

“The cumulative incidence of participants during the 14 days following the concert was 130.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is less than half of the average for the city of Barcelona for the same period and for the same age group. , which was 295.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, ”specifies the CCMA, the Catalan audiovisual media corporation, on its site.

The concert was a pilot test promoted by the Festivals for Safe Culture platform.

It also benefits from the institutional support of the Ministries of Culture and Health and of Barcelona City Hall.
