involved in the ambush of Bishop Christian Carlassare

.

This was reported by the news agency Aci Africa, according to what was relaunched by Nigrizia, the magazine of the Comboni Missionaries.

"Three of them, among which the name of the diocesan coordinator John Mathiang stands out, are priests of the Diocese of Rumbek while the others are lay people with different responsibilities at the level of the local Church", reports the portal of the missionaries of which the same Father Carlassare belongs. .

The South Sudanese Church would therefore be involved in some way. Nigrizia, the Comboni portal, writes, making an anonymous but 'safe' source speak: "Things were clear from the start but now they are evident and we can say with certainty that

the responsibility lies with a portion of the Dinka Church

(the ethnicity of the president Slava Kirr), which I call 'clan', within the local ecclesial authorities. John Mathiang is only a pawn of this clan. The real principal is further away and is collective. It is a fraction of the ecclesial community of Dinka origin. which

wants to have its weight in the Church and in the country to put a hand on its wealth

".

Aci Africa reveals that the arrests were possible thanks to the

discovery of the mobile phone that would have fallen to one of the two assailants

during the ambush and that Father Christian, hit in the legs, would have involuntarily hidden by falling on them. From the printouts it would have been possible for the authorities, who were investigating the matter, to trace the perpetrators. But the timely operation of the local police was really possible only thanks to the statement of President Salva Kirr who yesterday, in a special note, asked for rapid investigations after the incident. "That of the president was a precise signal - says the source cited by Nigrizia - that action had to be taken because the limits had been exceeded. He, who defines himself as a Catholic, had long dreamed of a Dinka bishop but with this international affair the South Sudan is destroyed and this time Salva Kirr cannot afford it ".
