(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 28 - Seven former members of the Red Brigades were arrested this morning in Paris at the request of Italy, while three others are on the run and are wanted. Elysée announced it. The ten are accused of acts of terrorism dating back to the 1970s and 1980s.
The operation, according to what is learned from Italian sources, was conducted by the Anti-terrorism of the French National Police (SDAT) in collaboration with the International Cooperation Service of the Criminalpol and with the Anti-terrorism of the Italian Police and with the expert for the security of the Italian police in the French capital.
According to what ANSA learns from French investigative sources, they are Enzo Calvitti, Giovanni Alimonti, Roberta Cappelli, Marina Petrella and Sergio Tornaghi, all of the Red Brigades; by Giorgio Pietrostefani of Lotta Continua and NarcisoManenti of the Armed Nuclei against territorial power.
