"Top Chef" season 12, episode 12: and Philippe Etchebest bowed down to Matthias

"It's the dish of the season", for Michel Sarran.

"I really want to blow their mouths, it's a bit like a sadomaso delirium, you spank, then after you make a caress", the candidate has fun to explain his "Apology for excess" . And the chefs grimace and moan, almost disgusted, then go into ecstasies, in heaven. Bingo! With this experience, Matthias knocked them down and went to the quarterfinals. At the announcement of the results, discovering that his little bruise is behind this chief blow, master Etchebest kneels on the ground and prostrates himself like a knight in front of the pupil, embarrassed and blushing.

Sarah also qualifies with her beautiful walk in the forest offered in a crate with scents of undergrowth.

She is assisted by Glenn Viel, who seems to disturb her at the start.

The voice which trembles, it loses its means.

"I tell myself that I am in love," she wonders, puzzled.

Back in the culinary field, she finds her marks and seduces the jury.

Rubik's cube, bubble tube, pacifier, Mohamed's playful and regressive proposition offers a light and fun moment.

Cola which bubbles and meringue which smokes, it evokes those bonbecs which gnashed our teeth with a dose of molecular cuisine.

He nevertheless leaves in last chance with Bruno, impeccable technician, but who will have lacked audacity on this blow.

A cooking in the earth that intrigues

The latter had already stumbled during the first test, for lack of confidence, putting his duck back to cook at the last moment ... at the risk of bordering on overcooking. During this inaugural challenge, the final five candidates were decided on the types of cooking of the same product, at least three. Chicken, duck, beef, cod and prawns, each with a product. It marinates, it grills, it smokes and it ice cream, it caramelizes and excited taste buds, we look at these beautiful pieces tasted and analyzed with impressive precision by Alexandre Mazzia, the only new triple star in France last year.

In spite of a final blow of stress, it passes for Pierre, a little too relaxed for the taste of Michel Sarran. He inherited the prawns, which cook in the blink of an eye, and thinks he has plenty of time, result, a final sweat… It is his cooking in the earth, intriguing, which qualifies him directly in the quarter-finals. Apart from Bruno, and his duck, the others will also have impressed. And deserved this ticket. Mohamed and his cod, in particular, with its five cooking times and a perfect and surprisingly appetizing result.

These two are found in "last chance" around citrus fruits.

A dessert for Mohamed, who involves considerable work, runs everywhere, almost falling.

A little timid so far, Bruno plays the salty card and boldly combines the haddock with citrus fruits.

Nice proposal, praised for both the risk-taking and the achievement.

But there should only be one left.

And it is he who falls, but his head held high, coming out of this competition grown.

"I passed a course", estimates this great sensitive too often on the restraint.

We feel he is liberated.
