Investigations against two police officers: did they embezzle ammunition?

Bavarian police officers may have embezzled ammunition from a firing range in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Investigators in Bavaria followed up the case, informed the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office.
Two officers from the Bavarian special forces are said to have embezzled ammunition they had brought with them to shooting training units.
According to the Bavarian investigators, departments of the Bavarian special forces in Nuremberg and Augsburg as well as an apartment were searched on Wednesday.
Accordingly, it is also checked whether other Bavarian police officers embezzled ammunition in a comparable manner.
Accordingly, there were initially no indications that the suspects had a right-wing extremist background.
The Bavarian Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism of the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office took over the procedure to coordinate the Bavarian-wide investigations.
17 police officers in Saxony are said to have stolen ammunition
There are currently similar investigations into ammunition theft against Saxon police officers.
There the investigations are directed against 17 police officers.
Four officials are considered to be the main culprits.
They are said to have stolen 7000 rounds of ammunition from police stocks.
They are said to have used this in return for private shooting training at the company "Baltic Shooters" near Güstrow.
The operator Frank T. is accused of being close to right-wing extremism.
As a consequence of the allegations, the four main suspects were banned from conducting official business.
In addition, all of the accused were forbidden from entering the offices, and they were transferred from the mobile task force to other areas.
Disciplinary investigations have been launched against all of the accused.
