The spring weather will withdraw again in many places in the coming days.
The German Weather Service (DWD) announced unstable weather with falling temperatures for the coming days.
Summer values are also not in sight for the first week of May.
On Thursday the low "Beat" spreads, it causes a lot of clouds and some rain in northern and southern Germany.
There are better prospects from Rhineland-Palatinate to Brandenburg.
There the sun shows up from time to time, but there are also some showers and strong thunderstorms.
The temperatures rise again to 12 degrees in the north and 20 degrees in the southeast.
Uncomfortable especially in the north
On Friday the values are between 10 and 18 degrees, and it will be warmest on the Lower Bavarian Danube.
It stays dry over the south of central Germany, sometimes the sun can be seen.
Otherwise - especially in the northern half - it is very cloudy, and it rains here and there.
The changeable and rather cool weather continues on the weekend.
This is ensured by a new low, it brings rain to many regions.
"This will reduce the risk of forest fires in the next few days," said DWD meteorologist Christopher Böttcher.
On Wednesday, the second highest danger level was declared in almost all districts of Brandenburg, the day before a forest fire broke out in Munich.
In the past few spring, the risk of forest fires was higher, explained Böttcher.
"Especially in 2018 when it was very dry and hot, and in 2019 after the dry winter."
April probably too cold for the first time in decades
After three very warm and dry April months in 2018, 2019 and 2020, a trend reversal is emerging this year at least.
In 2021, the month could be below the temperature norm of the long-term average.
It could even turn out to be the coldest April month in the last 30 years.
The preliminary balance of the German Weather Service (DWD) is due at the end of the week.
According to the website “Wetterkontor.de”, the average temperatures are currently well below the average for the previous 30 years.
