The villa that Christian De Sica and his wife Silvia Verdone have owned in Capri since 1996 is now for sale. The house is part of 'The four winds', one of the historic homes that contributed to the myth of the blue island: designed and built on the slopes of Mount Solaro between 1900 and 1903 by the American symbolist painter and poet Elihu Vedder was then sold to another American artist, Earl Henry Brewster who hosted among others the author of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover', the English writer DHLawrence. Once again owned at the end of the Thirties 'The Four Winds' was also frequented by other artists including Joseph Beuys, who dedicated one of his famous works to Capri and Cy Twombly.

The villa of Christian De Sica and his wife Silvia Verdone was built, in the Caprese style, in what was once the artist studio of Vedder, in a position that offers a view of Capri and at the same time the bay of Naples and the gulf of Salerno. It is spread over a total of 250 square meters of interiors, divided over two floors and is surrounded by a garden with citrus and olive trees. Close, but independent from the villa, is the annex used as a spa area, with one of the panoramic terraces of the property on the roof.

"It is a particularly favorable moment for the luxury real estate market in Italy - says Dimitri Corti, CEO of Lionard Luxury Real Estate which deals with the sale - villas by the sea are confirmed as one of the most requested and coveted assets, especially in exclusive locations such as Capri ".
