Kevin Pannewitz once dreamed of a great career as a footballer.

But due to lack of discipline and weight problems, he was never able to prevail in the Bundesliga.

Since his last position in professional football at Carl Zeiss Jena in 2018, things have become quieter around Pannewitz.

And some fans were probably wondering what he's doing now.

He has now answered that on Instagram.

»I work as a street sweeper at BSR Stadtreinigung.

I earn 1100 and crushed net, I have 1200 hours a year that I have to work, "the 29-year-old told his almost 14,000 followers:" If I'm good, I can be taken on.

If I'm shit, then I don't. "

Pannewitz was once considered a great talent at FC Hansa Rostock in the 2nd division and was about to make the leap into the Bundesliga at VfL Wolfsburg under Felix Magath in 2012.

But because he could not or did not want to get used to the life of a professional athlete, he did not prevail.

"I get up at four o'clock every day"

The everyday life of the father of the family now looks completely different.

“I get up at four o'clock every day, Monday through Friday for the time being.

That's it for now.

Many people ask what I do, what I do.

Before I answer each one individually, here's the video, ”said Pannewitz in his orange work clothes.

In the late morning only part of the Instagram story was available.

In it Pannewitz says goodbye: »I have to go.

See you later."

In order to make ends meet financially, he had already worked for the city cleaning department from 2015, and he also gained several years of experience as a furniture maker.

Pannewitz made it back to the 3rd division at FC Carl Zeiss Jena in 2018.

Most recently he played at FC Amed in Berlin in the 9th division.

"I'm fat, but it's still enough for the district league," he had told the magazine "11Freunde" last year.

He also made trips to reality shows.

In 2020, Pannewitz won 50,000 euros as the winner of the RTL program “Kampf der Realitystars”.
