On November 13, 2015, jihadist commandos left 130 dead and 350 wounded outside the Stade de France, on terraces in the capital and in the Bataclan performance hall.
Cédric Jimenez is used to crime fiction and the world of the police.
The director notably signed
La French
in 2014, in which Jean Dujardin played Judge Michel and his fight to the death against drug trafficking.
The filmmaker also shot
Bac Nord
, which is awaiting the reopening of theaters to come out.
November
is currently the most ambitious film project on the November 13 attacks to which, more than five years later, little fiction has been devoted. In the casting, Jean Dujardin will be surrounded by Sandrine Kiberlain, Jérémie Renier, Anaïs Demoustier and Sofian Khammes, soon to appear in
La nuée
. The screenplay is signed by Olivier Demangel, who notably worked on the
Baron Noir
series
. Filming, in Île-de-France, Greece and Belgium, is due to start on May 12 for 12 weeks.
Another project,
Un año, una noche
, has just been shot by Spanish filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, played by Nahuel Perez Biscayart, (
120 Beats per minute
) and Noémie Merlant (
Portrait of the girl on fire
).
The film is adapted from the testimony of a Spanish survivor of the Bataclan attack and is not "
about the attack in itself
", recently indicated one of the French producers, Jérôme Vidal.
In addition to these two films in preparation, director Mikhaël Hers directed
Amanda
in 2018, on the story of a little girl who loses her mother in a (fictitious) attack in the Bois de Vincennes, recalling the atmosphere of post-bereaved Paris. November 13.
As for the series, directors Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache were also inspired by the post-November 13 trauma for
En Thérapie
, broadcast on Arte and which enjoyed significant popularity with more than 41 million online views of its 35 episodes.
