Police officers in Munich stopped a man who is said to have been on a "souped-up" bicycle.

In addition, the 21-year-old was under the influence of drugs, the police said.

Police officers noticed on Wednesday in the Schwabing district that cyclists were traveling much faster than cars.

The officers stopped the 21-year-old and secured the bike.

As it turned out, the battery-powered vehicle could reach up to 100 kilometers per hour.

That's why the 21-year-old needed a driver's license and insurance for it - but he didn't have it.

According to the investigators, a urine test also revealed that the young man had consumed THC, which is found in cannabis, and cocaine.

The 21-year-old is now being investigated for, among other things, driving without a license and various other administrative offenses.
