This is what the messy room looks like - does it justify the punishment?

If the caller herself in Tiktok tabathamarie shared a video of herself in which she shared with viewers the punishment she gave her son after he refused to tidy his room - and many of them thought her approach was too rigid and even "cruel".
In the short video, the mother said that she asked for a two-year-old 5-year-old boy to arrange the toys in his room, but he refused. When she realized he was not going to do it - she collected all the toys, only instead of putting them in their place - she threw them in the trash.
In a video that has garnered more than 3.5 million views, the mother shows viewers her son's messy room with toys scattered around every corner. She then recounts: "When you ask your child two days in a row to tidy up his room and his response is 'No, you'll fix it mom'. Okay, I'll do it, happily."
She then documents herself throwing all his toys in garbage bags and writing on the screen: "Trash can, here we come."
She added: "Mother does not raise disrespectful men. This is not 'mother' work or 'women' work. You are a mess, you will fix it. You see that mother is hard, help her. Do not sit there and let a woman work hard. My children will learn. That's fast. "
Although she acknowledges that her approach is "extreme", she explained that she is determined to make sure her son learns his lesson.
"I hated to see the look on his face when he saw his room. It hurt me just as much, but my children will learn to respect," she added.

"It may not affect him as you intend," said a third person, while another viewer concluded: "Bad parenting 101".
On the other hand, there were others who defended her conduct: "Good job mom! People who disagree with you also have children who do not respect anyone, including their parents."

The mother later released another video in which she reassured viewers that the toys were not thrown in the trash but stored in bags in the basement until her son earned them back.
She also responded to the criticism leveled against her, saying that she had actually helped her son tidy up the room in the past and that he knew how to do it but still refused.
She said: "All your criticism did not affect me. In fact, she made me laugh. It makes me laugh that you think I am not trying to encourage my son or try to help him tidy the room" and added: "He has been tidying his room for a year. He is aware and knows How to do it, so please ... Thank you very much for trying to educate me. "
