(ANSA) - BOGOTA ', 03 MAY - During the protests of the days for the national strike in Colombia, 17 people died, including 16 civilians and a police officer. This was made known by the office of the Ombudsman of the South American country, cited by radio Rcn. Between April 28 and May 1, 457 police officers and 254 civilians were injured in 1,120 protest activities across the country. The Ombudsman's report also revealed that Esmad riot police intervened 546 times in riots in cities like Cali and Bogotá.
