The High Court will decide whether the Ministry of Health will be required to publish in public transparency the results of two satisfaction surveys it conducted, which show that the ministry's units (pharmacy, public inquiries, food service) received only low scores.

The Freedom of Information Movement has petitioned the Supreme Court, after for months trying to obtain the information by repeated appeals to the Ministry of Health, under the Freedom of Information Act.

The internal satisfaction surveys were revealed in "Israel Today", in 2019 and 2020.

From the partial data published, a disturbing picture emerged of dissatisfaction among parties who receive service or contact the Ministry of Health.

However, the scores we had were partial and so the ministry was asked to pass on the full findings.

The Freedom of Information Movement first requested the information in August 2020.

The petition, filed by Adv. Or Sadan of the Freedom of Information Movement and students Shachar Khoury and Amit Rosenblum, argued that the Ministry of Health's refusal to request the information was "without any plausible reason" and "laconic."

The petition alleges that the Ministry of Health routinely publishes the results of various surveys it conducts on patient satisfaction.

"The Ministry of Health was asked in the petition to provide information that could enable the public to examine how it sees the functioning of those who trust the regulation of public health, the Ministry of Health. Conducting a survey in a government ministry And how he values his services, "it said.

"This is a refusal that is inconsistent with the Freedom of Information Act, and there is a significant public interest in publishing such information, so that the public knows the situation regarding the respondent's activities, and at the same time, can express a position on the matter."
