(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 03 - The sentences of 14 years for Antonio Ciontoli, and 9 years and 4 months for his wife MariaPezzillo and children Martina and Federico, for the murder of MarcoVannini, who died in their house in Ladispoli during the night, are final between 17 and 18 May 2015. The Fifth Criminal Section of the Cassation confirmed the appeal sentence bis, of last September 30, which had sentenced Ciontoli for murder with a possible condolo and the rest of the family for anomalous complicity.
"We fought for 6 years, the fear is always there but we believed until the end. Now justice is done". It was the first reaction of Marco Vannini's mother, Marina, who was moved after the sentence. "I'm happy that finally justice was done for Marco. We promised him a bouquet of flowers if justice was done and tomorrow is the first thing I will do", added his father, Valerio Vannini.
Tonight the Ciontoli family will be in prison. One of the defenders, Gian Domenico Caiazza, referred it, adding: "I am astonished, I cannot understand how it is possible that such an erroneous sentence has been confirmed, in particular for Antonio Ciontoli's family". (HANDLE).
