WhatsApp is working to bring the ability to listen to an audio message on iPhone before sending it.
The functionality was discovered by the WABetaInfo site, which identified the code in a version of the app that is not yet available to end users or even beta testers.
According to the source, the platform will introduce a Review button next to the voice message, so you can check it, if you want, before sending it to the recipient.
To date, it is only possible to cancel the sending, if the person on the other side has not yet opened the file, as is also the case for texts, photos and videos. The update, whose launch is not currently planned, concerns the iPhone version, even if it is not said that availability will not arrive at par on Android. As WABetaInfo points out, it is already possible to listen to the audio before sending it, even if the operation is a bit complicated. For example, you can open another app while recording, without stopping it, and then go back to WhatsApp. At that point, you will see the bar with the Play, Delete or Enter key. Developers will simply add this default feature after registration.
Many users have hoped for a similar option, which avoids problems after sending a voice message. WhatsApp is also working on changing the duration of ephemeral messages, to be limited to 24 hours. These will include text and multimedia content that, even if downloaded to your phone, will disappear if not copied or moved elsewhere.
