The weekly corona incidence in Germany's northern neighbor Denmark has been stable for days, well below 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
The government in Copenhagen is therefore now further easing the pandemic-related restrictions.
Almost all parties in the Folketing Parliament agreed on this that night.
According to the agreement, all students in the first to eighth grades should be taught on site again from Thursday.
Only the older students have to wait until May 21st.
Cultural life is also awakening again: Cinemas, theaters and other stages can let in up to 2000 spectators, provided they can show a Corona pass.
With such a document, usually stored on the cell phone, the owner can prove to have been vaccinated or recovered - or to have passed a negative test within the last 72 hours.
Users of fitness studios can now train there again with this pass.
There is also hope for German tourists, who usually take the holiday homes summer after summer, especially on the west coast.
For fully vaccinated people, the corona test and quarantine in Denmark could be eliminated in the coming weeks thanks to a step-by-step opening plan.
Roskilde Festival canceled
If you want to go to a restaurant in Denmark, you don't have to order a table 30 minutes in advance from Thursday.
The meeting limit in closed rooms has been increased to 25 people.
His country is in a good starting position, said the Social Democratic Justice Minister Nick Hækkerup, according to a statement.
"It is crucial for the government that we maintain a responsible balance so that we can have as normal an everyday life as possible without losing control of the epidemic."
"Denmark has to get back to normal as soon as possible and it has to be done responsibly," said Health Minister Magnus Heunicke Danmarks Radio.
"Fortunately, we are in a good situation with persistently low infection rates and few hospital stays."

Almost every fourth citizen in his country - and thus as many as in Germany - has already been vaccinated at least once, Heunicke is quoted as saying.
In addition, many Danes have themselves tested regularly: "We can now offer more activities that many Danes miss."
Festivals are also allowed to receive more spectators again, but for the large organizers a maximum number of 2000 participants would not be worthwhile.
The Roskilde Festival, the Northside Festival in Aarhus and the Tinderbox Festival in Odense have all been canceled.
A further increase in the number of visitors to 5000 people is not planned until August 1st.
