Transport workers of different lines maintain a

series of protests

on

Tuesday

in Acceso Oeste and Pueyrredón bridge, although they did not advance with the cuts on the highways due to the presence of the Federal Police and the Prefecture.

All, despite the Government's warning that it was not going to allow mobilization due to the coronavirus restrictions.

Around 8 o'clock, a group of protesters was on the Acceso Oeste collector, at the height of Moreno's party, and

burned tires on the intersection with Route 23, blocking a lane

.

Shortly after, they continued on their way, cut off the intersection with

Route 25

and got on the highway.

It happened shortly before 9 o'clock, when the self-summoned drivers cut two lanes, towards the Federal Capital, at kilometer 36. A few meters away, there are National Gendarmerie agents.

So far, the protest on the Pueyrredón bridge did not affect the main line of the highway, where there was also a presence of troops.

The measure is in demand of a

salary improvement

within the framework of the joint sector of the sector and to be included in the national

vaccination

plan

against the coronavirus.

Last Friday, the self-summoned drivers also held early days of protest at the entrance to the City of Buenos Aires and at access points in the northern, western and southern areas.

The greatest tension was experienced in the Western Access, where a weak police cordon could do nothing to avoid the cut.

There, a group of workers from Line 60 "ran over" the uniformed men, who did not even try to resist.

Government request before the protests

Given the large number of protests held in recent days, in the midst of the second wave of coronavirus, the Government came out to ask for a truce from the picketer organizations that do not march in central places until the peak of infections passes.

"We respectfully ask the organizations to make a truce and not to mobilize for 21, even though the claims are legitimate because we are trying to stop the contagion curve," said

Fernando “Chino” Navarro

, Secretary of Parliamentary Relations, Institutional and with Civil Society.

He said that the truce request was directed at Barrios de Pie led by Humberto Tumini and the leaders of left-wing organizations that last week held rallies in front of the Ministry of Social Development and other organizations demanding increases in social subsidies.

Navarro is one of the leaders of the Evita Movement that is part of the Frente de Todos and said that he maintains a fluid dialogue with other organizations to prevent more marches from being held next week.

The statements came a day after the Minister of Security,

Sabina Frederic

, clarified that "she is not in favor of repressing" the social mobilizations.

The official thus clarified the warning of the Secretary of Federal Articulation of the Ministry of Security,

Gabriel Fuks

, who had said: "We are not going to allow mobilizations that enter the City en bloc. There are situations of irresponsibility."
