The American DJ and music producer Pierce Fulton is dead. His brother announced this on Instagram on Monday.
The musician was 28 years old.
"It breaks my heart to tell you that my brother Pierce died Thursday after a tragic battle with his mental health," writes Griff Fulton.
The past year has been very difficult for everyone, Fulton continued.
“If you or someone you know is struggling, take it seriously, talk about your feelings, and seek help.
Each of you is important and loved more than you think. "
Pierce Fulton became known in the electro scene in 2014 with his singles "Kuaga" and "Runaway".
The hit single "Borrowed Lives" followed in 2016, and in 2018 he released the EP "Waiting for Tomorrow" together with Martin Garrix and Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park.
He released his last album in summer 2020.
Griff Fulton made no further information about the exact circumstances of his brother's death.
However, he asked his followers and his brother's fans to be kind to each other, listen to each other, and learn more about what other people may be going through.
Because "that is often hidden under many layers," says Fulton.
