A Swiss diplomat serving at the embassy in Iran died this morning when she fell out of a window or balcony of her apartment in a residential area in northern Tehran.
The police have opened an investigation into the incident.
According to Mojtaba Khaledi, spokesman for the Emergency Department, no hypothesis is excluded, including murder, suicide or accident ".
"This morning - said Khaledi - the diplomat's maid went to her house, in the Kamranieh neighborhood. Having not found her, she called the police. Later a maintenance worker in a garden near the building found the body, which is been recognized by the porter of the building ". According to Khaledi, the body of the diplomat, who was 52, had fractured head and arm. The body was transferred for the coroner's disposal.
