From Bruno Barbey, who documents the funeral of Togliatti, to the dramatic days of the G8 in Genoa immortalized by Thomas Dworzak, to the current events of Paolo Pellegrin who tells of the crowd gathered in St. Peter's Square in the vigil for the death of Pope John Paul II by putting it next to another crowd, that of migrants on a boat.
There are 70 years of Italian history, news and customs revealed by the eyes of internationally renowned authors in the great exhibition "The Italy of Magnum. From Robert Capa to Paolo Pellegrin", set up at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa in the Loggia degli Abati from 6 May to July 18. Between known places and anonymous citizens, between famous photos and others less known, the path winds along 200 shots taken by 20 photographers of the Magnum Agency, and is introduced by a tribute to Henri Cartier-Bresson and his trip to Italy over the years Thirty.
