They've been back on stage since last year - at least four of them.
Now a comeback on the big screen is apparently planned: the British pop group »Spice Girls« wants to bring a sequel 25 years after their film »Spice World«.
According to information from the British tabloid "The Sun", the group turned to a "renowned screenwriter" for the script.
The film should be ready by the anniversary year 2022.
According to "The Sun", "Ginger Spice" Geri Horner initiated the project.
Both Melanie C and Emma Bunton and Mel B are therefore involved.
It is still unclear whether Victoria Beckham will also be there.
The British comedy »Spice World« was released in 1997 and tells a fictional story from the everyday life of the »Spice Girls« - with the five band members in the leading roles.
In 2019 the Spice Girls, who became known in the 1990s with songs like "Wannabe" or "Say you'll be there", appeared together on stage again after a long break.
Her band played in 13 stadiums in Great Britain and Ireland - but without Victoria Beckham.
According to "The Sun", they hope to see her with the film sequel.
Beckham, now a very successful designer and fashion entrepreneur, had previously declined to take part in another tour.
"Baby Spice" Emma Bunton had announced that she wanted to perform again with the band after the pandemic.
She has already talked to her other band mates about "new projects."
