(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 05 - The next versions of the Apple Watch may be able to monitor parameters such as blood pressure, glucose levels and even the alcohol level.
This was stated by the specialized site MacRumors, based on the revelation by the English start-up RockleyPhotonics, which has developed sensors specialized in these measures, of having the house of Cupertino as its main customer.
The technology developed by Rockley is based on optical type sensors, which detect the levels of substances through the skin. The company, which is about to go public in New York, has written in the listing documents that "Apple is responsible for most of the revenues of the past two years", under a supply and development agreement that will also be active in the coming years. The next generation of Rockley sensors, the site speculates, is expected to arrive next year, coinciding with the launch of the Apple Watch series 8 models. (HANDLE).
