The actor of the series "Validated", sentenced to eight months in prison in Morocco because of a video considered insulting, will be fixed Wednesday on

It is this Wednesday that will be examined, by a Moroccan court, the request for release on bail of the humorist Brahim Bouhlel and the influencer Zbarbooking. The two men are imprisoned following their convictions on April 21 to respectively eight months and one year in prison for a video posted on social networks. In these images, we see the two friends accompanied by a Franco-Moroccan actor, Hedi Bouchenafa (who left the country after the fact), seated in a restaurant in Marrakech. They film themselves, hilariously, alongside three Moroccan children, uttering insults on them and their mothers in what was meant to be a parody, to say the least awkward, of a sensationalist television report.

In Morocco, these images go around the web and scandalize.

Social networks are unleashed and insulting messages are raining down.

Brahim Bouhlel apologizes but the controversy escalates.

It led to the conviction of the two men, prosecuted for "broadcasting a video of a person without their consent" and "hijacking a minor", on April 21.

Appeal trial within two weeks

A (very) bad joke that turned into a nightmare for the 25-year-old actor, whose career has really taken off since the success of the series "Validé", by Franck Gastambide, on the rap world, in 2020. Since then, the proposals of films poured in for the young man from Chelles, in Seine-et-Marne, who started with the stand-up.

It is moreover for a shooting, that of the next film of Mohamed Hamidi ("the Cow") with Kad Merad, that Brahim Bouhlel was in Morocco at the time of the facts.

Outrage in Morocco after the broadcast of a "parody" video of actor Brahim Bouhlel

“This video, in the first degree understanding, is contrary to everything it

(Brahim Boulhel)

is.

(...) There is a gap between a bad delirium and a threat to the physical integrity of people, said the lawyer of the actor, Me Charles Morel, guest on the TV set of Cyril Hanouna, on April 22.

I would like all those who judge, who condemn to do their examination of conscience or an effort of memory, on what they did, them, at 24, 25 years, between friends, having had a drink, this kind of antics delusional.

The only thing there is that it was filmed and broadcast.

The comic intention was there, it's failed.

They are permanently traumatized.

"

The exact date of the appeal trial is not yet known, but it should be held within two weeks.
