Halima Cisse from Mali is one of the few women who has carried and given birth to nine children.
The 25-year-old was given birth by caesarean section of five girls and four boys on Tuesday in a Moroccan clinic.
"The newborns and the mother are fine," said Mali's Health Minister Fanta Siby.
The public in the mother's home country took an active part in the extraordinary pregnancy.
When the local doctors said that 25-year-old Cisse needed specialist treatment, the authorities flown her to Morocco.
After the birth, the first pictures circulated on Facebook that the mother and the doctors are supposed to show.
When the pregnant women were examined by ultrasound, only seven babies were initially seen.
It was said that the other two were discovered during the operation.
Nine births are extremely rare, and complications are common.
Mother and children are supposed to stay in Morocco for a few more weeks before they return to Mali.
The West African landlocked country of Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world.
On the UN Human Development Index, Mali was most recently ranked 184th out of 189 countries worldwide.
