Recipe battle: who makes the best lentils?

2021-05-05T17:41:18.863Z

We compare the stewed lentil recipes of David Muñoz, José Andrés, Pepa Muñoz and Anna Terés. Some are classic, and others, vegan, fast or exotic, but only one takes the medal.

Stewed lentils are not the hardest dish in the universe.

To get a basic drinkable version, just add the legume with a few vegetables, some pork sacrament and water in a saucepan, put it on a low heat and make sure they do not burn.

The path to excellence goes through those small details that can turn the stew into a delicacy: a stir-fry, a particular combination of sausages, a shredded vegetables to fatten the broth, a push of spices ...

The four recipes entering the fray in our battle today use some of those techniques.

Pepa Muñoz, from El Qüenco de Pepa, is committed to classicism;

José Andrés dispenses with ingredients of animal origin;

David Muñoz, DiverXO chef, substitutes the pork for carabineros and Anna Terés, from the Anna Easy Recipes blog, prepares them in a quick cooker.

Which of them is the most interesting?

Watch the video and you will meet the winner.
