Less than a month after Prince Philip's death, there is now new information about the cause of death.

As the Telegraph claims to have found out, the 99-year-old died of "old age".

After various stays in hospital for Prince Philips in recent years, the British tabloids had repeatedly speculated about possible diseases - not least because a global pandemic was raging.

But the royal family had dispelled such rumors.

Prince Philip had recently undergone heart surgery and had been treated for various previous illnesses, but had always recovered, it said.

On the death certificate, which the Telegraph is now to have exclusively, the long-time family doctor of the Queen and Prince Philips, Sir Huw Thomas, stated that the cause of death was "old age".

This is often mentioned in those over 80, but doctors often list other conditions that could have contributed to the death of the person.

In the case of Prince Philip, according to the Telegraph, this was not the case.
